There is hardly a doubt that NYC is among the best known tourist destinations in the world. It symbolises the American dream of freedom and enterprise in the best way possible and hence attracts a rush of tourists each year.
There are a number of reasons that have maintained NYC's charm as a hub of tourist activity since so many decades.
American Identity: The city of New York symbolises the American spirit of enterprise like probably no other city does with its plethora of offices, marketplaces and commercial establishments. The city has a presence of so many global corporations that it's akin to a global business community.
Vibrant Culture: There is something about the city that provides it a very vibrant and colourful culture that you can not only witness in its various art theatres but also on the streets, markets, parks and roads.
Retail Paradise: The presence of virtually all global brands across the stores in NYC makes it a virtual retail paradise. While here, you can not only shop for luxury brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Prada, but also for the most affordable merchandise in its many One-Dollar stores. You cannot afford to miss NYC's markets especially if you are putting up at an upmarket area such as East Village.
Low Cost of Living: With its many vacation rental properties, NYC not only offers a reasonable cost of stay for tourists, but it also provides almost all elements such as food, clothing and accessories at prices that are far lower in terms of global price indices. Even with reasonable cash in your kitty, you can have a fairly good time here at NYC.
